About the Peter Frates Family Foundation:

The Peter Frates Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by ALS through essential patient care, advancing research, and raising awareness to accelerate the fight for a cure.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support our mission through data entry, grant application assistance, event project management, and operational support. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in nonprofit operations, philanthropy, and event planning.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Administrative Support:

  • Input, update, and maintain accurate donor and grant recipient records.
  • Assist with database management and document organization.
  • Provide general administrative support to optimize workflows

Grant Application Assistance

  • Assist with processing grant applications, including reviewing submissions for completeness.
  • Communicate with applicants to collect necessary documentation.
  • Help track and organize grants to ensure timely processing.

Event Project Management Assistance

  • Support event logistics, planning, and coordination for fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist with outreach to participants, sponsors, and volunteers.
  • Help with post-event follow-ups, including donor acknowledgments and impact reporting.

Operational Support

  • Assist with daily operational tasks to ensure the Foundation’s smooth functioning.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline internal processes.

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for philanthropy and the mission of the Peter Frates Family Foundation.
  • Experience with Hubspot and Monday preferred.
  • Experienced and skilled with Excel
