Numbers to Know

The average life expectancy of someone with ALS is 3 years, or 1,000 days.

Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS, or passes away from it.

After you are diagnosed with ALS you are told that it will cost you and your family, on average, $250,000 a year, out of pocket, for care. A majority of families go bankrupt or divorce due to this overwhelming financial burden.
