Make an Impact in the Fight Against ALS

Thank you for your interest in hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Peter Frates ALS Foundation.

Individuals and groups who choose to host their own fundraisers play a vital role in advancing our mission. These efforts help raise critical awareness about ALS while generating funds that directly support patients and families facing the physical, emotional, and financial challenges of this disease.

The Peter Frates ALS Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by ALS by providing essential patient care, supporting innovative research for a cure, and educating communities to drive awareness and action. Through fundraising and advocacy, we work to accelerate progress in the fight to end ALS.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Foundation was established to financially assist ALS patients with the enormous out-of-pocket costs associated with home health care. As ALS progresses, these expenses increase significantly. Our support helps patients remain in their homes, where they belong, surrounded by the comfort, hope, and care of their loved ones.

Get Started

There is no minimum fundraising requirement. Every dollar raised makes a meaningful difference and helps provide direct financial assistance to ALS patients and their families.

While you are responsible for planning and executing your fundraiser, our team is available to offer guidance and suggestions as time allows. For contributions made payable and submitted directly to the Peter Frates ALS Foundation, we will provide acknowledgment and tax receipts. A fundraising platform may also be available so the Foundation receives 100 percent of the proceeds from your event.

You will manage and execute all aspects of your fundraiser. Some larger events may require advance planning, such as securing permits, recruiting volunteers, obtaining sponsors to underwrite costs, or arranging printed materials or virtual platforms. The Foundation can provide guidance, but responsibility for these elements remains with the fundraiser host.
